Tereza Tacic

CV

Tereza Tacic (b.1994, Serbia) is a non-binary emerging interdisciplinary artist based in the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷə ̓yəm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish) and sə̓lilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-waututh) Nations. They completed their BFA with distinction at Concordia University and have spent time as an independent researcher at Kyoto University of Art and Design. With an emphasis on challenging singular methodologies, Tacic’s work considers the responsibility of an artist within society, and the methods by which art creation can resolve internalized conflicts. Placing emphasis on materiality and process, their work remains earnest to the importance of an artist’s history and identity. They have shown at AIDA Gallery, Osaka, Japan; SKOL, Montreal; and VIVO Media Arts Centre, Vancouver.
